As a business that manages an effective public procurement and asset disposal system, the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board (PPADB) requires all contractors domiciled in Botswana to register with the board as provided for in the PPAD Act [Cap 42:08] Section 116 – 118.
The certificate become mandatory with effect from the 15th August 2012, therefore any bidder or contractor wishing to do business with Government is required to have registered with, and present a PPADB Registration Certificate when tendering for any Central Government work.
In the past the certificate was required for works and infrastructure related tenders only however the present registration has been extended to all Suppliers and Service Providers and Consultants
All enquiries regarding the registration process may be forwarded to the Contractor Registration unit 360 2043/8/9 and the Service Helpdesk at 360 2061.
